New Glasgow Driving School

The Best GDL Driving School in Nova Scotia

Our new driver course consists of 25 hours of classroom theory and 11 hours of one-on-one in-car driving. We also offer points reduction courses and exit courses to get off the graduated licencing system. Individual lessons with our trained driving instructors are always available to improve your skills and build confidence.

We may call ourselves Young Drivers, but we offer courses for drivers of all ages. We offer complete courses that include the skills needed to prepare for many driving situations, instructing on low-speed maneuvres like parking and turnabouts; to faster speed maneuvres such as emergency braking, gravel shoulder recovery and avoidance swerving.

The majority of the consequences of a crash can be avoided, including fatalities, injuries and specifically, insurance claims. Young Drivers of Canada implements this strategy in their course curriculum by providing the Collisionfree!™ Approach to driving. Through this approach, Young Drivers teaches students effective seeing habits and how to predict and avoid any potential hazards experienced on a day to day basis while driving.

Finding Young Drivers New Glasgow 

Young Drivers New Glasgow is located downtown by the bridge at 116 George Street. This places us downstairs in the lower level of the NS Legal Aid building overlooking the marina next to the Dock Restaurant.

Parking is located at the town parking lot and Glasgow Square on Riverside Parkway, just up the street. From exit 24 of the TCH 104 at the Stellarton roundabout, take the road towards downtown. At the traffic light about 2km down the road, turn right on George Street across the bridge. Our classroom is on the corner to the left, door nearest the road.
